80 cars. 10 stops. Eight days. One (very big) lap of America. Nobody said it was going to be easy–but it sure does make for a great story.
This weekend, GRM’s Tire Test Editor Andy Hollis and Publisher Tom Suddard embark for the 2026 Tire Rack One Lap of America Presented by Grassroots Motorsports, May 2-9.

Their trusty steed of choice? Our latest project car (and Andy’s latest obsession), a 2023 Hyundai Elantra N competing in the Economy class. (2026 Entrants List)
Upgrades? Check out our project car page for more details, but we’ve fitted the Elantra with Superspeed FlowForm wheels wrapped in Bridgestone RE-71RZ tires, Porterfield brake pads, fresh fluids and, in our humble opinion, a very eye-catching GRM livery.
Follow along at home with daily updates from out intrepid duo here on the GRM site as well as One Lap’s own livestreams, available to watch on its YouTube channel.
