Glad I stayed up late! Can’t wait to try the new Bridgestones!

Edit: while the delta between the rs and rz isn’t large, I am wondering if that difference will increase with wear. I suspect that the elimination of the graining in the new compound will be a factor in this.

Yup, a late night here as well.

Glad that you enjoyed the article–I’m sure we’ll hear more from Andy on these tires–and time for bed. :)

Great stuff, Andy!

in the first table are the X1 and P1 miss-labeled by chance or am I misreading the data and the commentary?
thanks!

Love you guys! Shaved RZ or P1X seems like the move.

Oh, and why the late-night post? Driving impressions on the new Bridgestone were embargoed until December 31.

Tires only arrived on December 23. Since then, Andy had to mount, heat-cycle, test/retest and write–while juggling around Christmas.

That gave me Monday night to edit, and Colin built the page on Tuesday. (Office is closed this week, too.)

Whew and thanks, everyone.

Yes, they’re mislabeled. Fixing now.

Big thanks to Andy & GRM for the thorough and transparent testing. This article reinforces that Vitour’s progress in the Super 200 category is driven by deliberate engineering. The testing and commentary clearly show that the P1 and X1 are genuinely competitive, purpose-built, and thoughtfully tuned for different disciplines.

Thank you for joining us, Dallas, and for delivering more tires for our favorite activities.

As Dallas mentioned, I think this test shows how today’s Super 200 tires can serve different needs. You need a Super 200 tire for autocross, or time trial or endurance? Someone has likely developed a specific tire for that need. That’s all R&D.

Is the tread width accurate in the table? Based on what I’ve seen on other sizes, these measurements seem to be flipped.
