If one wants to see an A2 tribute car inside and out from the perspective of an enthusiast owner's experiences in maintenance and repair, as well as some neat Audi technical history, I recommend visiting https://www.bufkinengineering.com/rally%20car.htm .  Apparently it used to be Sprongl's.  It has a 20v head from the last of the ur-quattros and an aluminium block.  He found and contacted the owner of the Sport that matched the production number and verified that the Sport has an iron block!  Apparently, Audi Sport, when they needed an aluminum block, would "warranty" one from a road car and take it for themselves!

Bonus: There used to be videos of the car driving at Harris Hill before it was paved, or even cleared out.  The car's owner did a lot of the site engineering so he had access. Apparently bushes and other vegetation damaged the grille and other parts.

I seem to recall the Sprongls running Rim Of The World Rally.

I worked that event for several years.

They ran Laughlin as well. I saw that car in action, very cool.

Heck, I'm even on there at #16.

I vividly remember seeing these guys at rallies in the late-90’s/early-2000s. 😁
