Weather is supposed to be crap Tuesday@HPR. I may run out to the track, but also may decide to play in my garage instead...

Welcome to the day most every Tire Rack One Lap of America Presented by Grassroots Motorsports competitor simply calls “Sticker Day.” It’s the day just before the event kicks off, in which you sign the paperwork and get a large packet of stickers, then you put those stickers on your car to pass tech–and that’s precisely what we did for our 2023 Hyundai Elantra N.
Final prep also consisted of rotating the tires (One Lap rules require branded tires purchased from Tire Rack), picking the best four of the six tires Andy used during his recon laps.
Then it was time for the driver’s meeting, which we followed with a stroll through the parking lot to check out all the cool cars other teams are competing with.
While there, we joined BimmerWorld’s Phil Wurz in helping our friends at BF Goodrich in changing the coolant expansion tank on their genuine E36 M3 Lightweight.
We capped off the day with dinner, a Walmart snack run and likely the most sleep we’ll have over the next week.
In our next update, we'll cover how we did at our first stop, the Tire Rack Wet Skid Pad.

Same in hastings Wednesday. We did our best to rubber in the track for y'all today. Be very interested to see where my times compare with the stockish looking Twin that was in the photos.
No, it really is a real Aston SUV…. will try and grab a photo next time I see it.
Fun fact about that M3: it’s a real Lightweight, one of 126 homologation specials ever built and probably worth six figures. It’s owned by BFG and used for product development, and was swiped from inventory by Ed Gliss of BFG and Jonathan Benson of Tyre Reviews, quickly prepped for One Lap, and brought to the event. Super cool to see it out here.
