What was as fast as a C8 Corvette Z51 at our test track, The FIRM? The BMW M2. And now BMW is going to offer an M Performance Track Kit to take it to the next level.

What does the kit consist of?

  • Manually adjustable front splitter.
  • Fixed wheel arch diffusers and a scoop under the upstream oil cooler.
  • Manually adjustable swan neck rear wing–the same one used on customer M4 GT4 and GT3 race cars. (And it has an integrated brake light)
  • Four-way adjustable damping and adjustable support bearings. (And the chassis can be lowered up to 20 mm at the front and rear.)

The price? To be announced. BMW will start taking orders in Q3 2026.

I get why they did it, but the wing looks weird so far forward on the trunk.

Still, though, not going to complain about a track focused factory hot rod.

My prediction: $20k-25k

I appreciate that the wing and splitter are adjustable. BMW could have just as easily offered fixed pieces and called it "track-focused enough."

Looks a lot better than the TRD Camry wing that has the center section lying on the trunk, which has to be a purely cosmetic wing and isn't good at being cosmetic.

At least the M2 wing looks purely functional.

This is going to be really annoying, because a lot of racing organizations allow "OE" available aero. You're gonna have people balling out ~20K on a kit to beat up on people in Gridlife Street GT.

I hear what you're saying, but orgs can always ban specific cases even they technically fit the rules.

Is that really different than any other racing now?

Is "adjustable support bearings" BMW-speak for camber plates?
