Why does a free set of Hoosiers sound more exciting to me than an actual cash prize? Is there something wrong with me? ![]()

How does $4000 for a win sound? What about $1250 to podium? How about a free set of Hoosiers for a victory? That’s what HSR’s The Mitty is offering Spec Miata and Spec MX-5 racers in its Mazda Feature Race on Sunday, April 26, at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
It’s all a part of the special celebration of Mazda, the featured marque during The Mitty on April 24-26. Spec Miata and SMX racers can also compete in Group 3 (with other Miatas and RX-7s) throughout the weekend, all included with the $800 entry fee. Three 20-minute qualifying sessions and two 20-minute sprint races come with that fee (plus the Mazda Feature Race). Drop another $310 to compete in the 1-hour BRM Legacy Enduro. And it’s $425 more to run a test day and gain three extra 20-minute track sessions. All entries require a $25 HSR license fee.
“Beyond the racing itself, The Mitty will celebrate Mazda through curated displays, heritage storytelling, and a community atmosphere that reflects the passion shared by drivers, teams, and fans alike,” IMSA President John Doonan said. “Whether you raced a Mazda decades ago or currently campaign one today, we hope you will join us in honoring a manufacturer that has always placed drivers first. We look forward to welcoming you and your Mazda to Road Atlanta for what promises to be a memorable celebration of speed, history, and camaraderie.”

In reply to Colin Wood :
The funny thing is that you'll probably have to burn up 2-3 sets in order to win.

You're on this site, so yeah it pretty much confirms there's something wrong with you.
Cash to win...............I'm sure there won't be a bunch of bumping and banging because racers are very logical.

Yep, should be clean-n-green for the entire race!
Since it's being run by HSR it actually might be............but I won't hold my breath
