What flavor of motorsport? Why do we have to choose? I guess there are only so many hours in a day and dollars in the pocket.
You can catch me personally at three this weekend.
Today, Friday, April 24, I’ll be at the NASA Rally Sport-sanctioned McCreary Gravel Rally in Stearns, Kentucky. While it’s a scrutineering and parc expose kind of day, they’ll also be doing a shakedown this afternoon in nearby Strunk, Kentucky, where you can see the cars a bit more in action. The rally is 154 miles in total, with 96 miles across 10 stages, run all on Saturday, April 25.
However, on Saturday I’ll then make a stop at the SCCA Appalachian HillClimb Series event at Pine Mountain Hill Climb in Pineville, Kentucky. Spectators are welcome and tonight will be a Friday Fanfest presented by Backroads of Appalachia in downtown Pineville. The hillclimb runs through the end of Sunday, April 26.
Speaking of Sunday, I’ll be taking my Jaguar F-type to the ETRSCCA autocross at Bristol Motor Speedway. While I’ve spent more than a decade covering the NASCAR (and dirt) races there from the infield, it’ll mark my first time through a sea of cones outside the oval.
I’m not the only one among our staff out there, though. We also have Publisher Tom Suddard and Associate Publisher James Wood at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for HSR’s The Mitty, too.

Sadly I got nothing beyond riding my dirt bike on Sunday.
My next event isn't for another 3 weeks (vintage Race)
Autocross is on a two month break; Electric Daisy takes over the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in May so our next event is a night event late June.
I also might make a stop at the Daytona Speedway to check out Jeep Beach on Saturday along with going to a local VW meetup.
Kids have a dentist appointment, so I'm going to take them to it, then we're going to zip over to K1 Speed and go karting! They've never ridden karts before, so I want them in early.
My dad just bought a 1951 Oldsmobile 88 that needs a little goin' through. We're going to try to get the 283 in that thing singing on Sunday. Then brakes? Then drive?! If that fails, we'll take Ethyl out for a drive (Dodge 6). Maybe we'll go to Walmart.
Since my wife is volunteering at a Galgo rescue in Spain this week until Monday I will be playing the role of "unpaid intern" at her store!
Karting practice this weekend with my daughters and then CMP next weekend!
Roller skating this evening, so that's something on wheels, right?
Lemons is at CMP this weekend. I at least drove my Lemon this morning which is the closest I've been in two years to racing.
I thought about the SCCA majors at Thunderhill tomorrow, but given that I went racing 3 out of the previous 4 weekends I decided to skip it and do some other things this one.

If you do to many it starts to feel like work.
Between work and school, going into finals week, I am racing poor for another week. After that I can get a rearend built, replace the subframe bushings with solid aluminum ones, and reinstall I can go race again.
