Normally, having your car facing backwards on Laguna Seca’s infamous Corkscrew means something has gone terribly wrong. But for the annual Corkscrew Hillclimb, it’s pretty much the whole point.
Now in its fourth year, the 2025 Corkscrew Hillclimb was won by Christine Sloss, who drove her Ferrari SF90 XX Spider to a fastest time of 29.535 seconds–making Sloss the event’s first-ever female winner and setting a new record for a road legal production car, hybrid vehicle and convertible.

A total of 15 entrants competed on August 9, with Sloss followed closely by Ned Bacon in his 1975 Porsche 911 RSR in second and Gardner Nichols in a 2025 Rivian Gen 2 Quad-Motor R1T in third.
Other notable cars to make the climb this year include a current-gen Toyota Supra, Austin-Healey 100-6, Yamaha R6 motorcycle and even Rexy, AO Racing’s famed Porsche 911 GT3.
Racing at Laguna Seca continues (this time going down the Corkscrew as usual) at the 2025 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, August 13-16.

How does the winning car qualify for this: "...setting a new record for a road legal production car, hybrid vehicle and convertible"?
The FXX-K is not road legal.

Hmm...good point. I double-checked the news release to make sure I didn't misread anything, but yeah, it says production car:
Sloss, the event’s first female winner, posted a time of 29.535 seconds to capture the victory in her Ferrari hypercar. Her victory also sets a new record for a road legal production car, hybrid vehicle and convertible
Odd record to nab when your car isn't road-legal.
EDIT: Duh. The FXX-K and SF90 XX are two different cars.
In reply to Colin Wood :
She drove an SF90 XX Spider which is not an FXX-K and is very much road legal. Ferrari of Newport Beach will happily sell you one if you have the means https://www.ferrariofnewportbeach.com/sf90-xx-spider/
Ya, i'm slow..
