After blowing up his Subaru WRX at the 2023 Super Lap Battle, Austin Sierra rebuilt it specifically for time attack, with the ability withstand the longer tracks, such as Circuit of The Americas. He says it is now “the most powerful and most reliable it’s ever been.”
Austin plans to try out as many tracks as possible, and he’ll be able to cross Eagles Canyon Raceway off his list come October 22, when his Subaru and some of the country’s fastest track cars compete in the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge, our annual search for the fastest track machine on four wheels.
New or old, home-brewed or factory-bought, it’s welcome to compete–so long as both car and driver can pass a safety inspection. If that applies to you, enter your car today.
The UTCC will again join the Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty for 2026.
The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is presented by Grassroots Motorsports and fueled by Sunoco, in association with Wilwood, Vitour Tire, CRC Industries, Vbox Motorsport and Red Line Oil, with trophies from BimmerWorld, Nine Lives Racing and Falken Tire.
